Membership Application

Thank you for your interest in becoming an RTDNA Canada Member.

The membership period runs annually from January 1 to December 31.

Please click on the Membership Level, to the right, that applies to you and start your application.

Important: If you are a multi/single-platform/market news organization or a Supplier we have new membership fees for you.

Please check with your news organization to see if you’re covered under multi/single-market/platform offers. If you have a code, select Member level to the right and add your code in the payment part of the form.

If not, you are still able to join RTDNA Canada as a Member, Associate Membership, or Retiree Member.

Member If you have a code, select this level - $136.00 (CAD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments Any journalist employed by a news operation (including freelancers) at any Digital, Radio and/or Television platform and who is actively engaged in the preparation and/or presentation of news for broadcasting/publishing shall be eligible for Regular Membership.

Associate Member - $136.00 (CAD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments Any person who does not qualify for Regular membership, but whose employment includes the provision of services to the broadcast news profession or who is employed in a public relations capacity, shall be eligible for an Associate membership in the Association, as may be approved by the Board. This is a non-voting membership.

Student Member - Free Subscription period: 2 years, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments Any person enrolled in a Post-Secondary educational institution which has been recognized by the Board of Directors of the Association, shall be eligible for a Student membership in the Association, as may be approved by the Board.

Retiree Member - $50.00 (CAD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments Any person who has retired from a career in broadcast journalism or a career associated with broadcast journalism, and who has been a member of RTDNA Canada for at least five (5) years, shall be eligible for a Retiree membership in the Association, as may be approved by the Board.
And if you are willing to be a judge in our awards competition, we’ll waive your membership fee!

Educational Member - $136.00 (CAD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments Persons in accredited Universities and Colleges in Canada with Broadcast Journalism Programs shall be eligible for an Educational Membership in the Association.
*Important your membership costs will be deducted from your conference fee should you choose to attend.

Suppliers - $1,000.00 (CAD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments Supplier Members are companies or organizations that provide products, information and/or services to the electronic journalism industry. We thank them for their support and encourage you to engage with them for any needs you or your company may have in the future.
